Sustainable Future Arboretum

  • The Sustainable Future Arboretum was established in 2020 at SVEC’s Rockingham headquarters
  • The arboretum is a special project of SVEC’s vegetation management department
  • It serves as an educational space featuring examples of renewable energy and environmental stewardship
  • The 3.5-acre arboretum is home to a wide array of trees and pollinator-friendly flowers, as well as multiple solar arrays
  • This space is recognized as a utility-friendly arboretum by Look Up, Virginia! and implements SVEC’s Right Tree Right Place program
