Levelized Billing
SVEC offers a billing option called Levelized. Each month:
- SVEC will average your actual billing for the current month with the previous 11 months
- Your bill will vary slightly from month to month
- This “rolling average” evens out extreme highs and lows, such as the hot summer months or cold winter months
- The bill will show your kilowatt-hour consumption and the Levelized bill amount that is due
- Bill must be paid just the same as a regular bill, on or before the late payment date
Eligibility Requirements
There are several criteria that must be met to qualify for Levelized billing. These requirements are as follows:
Please call SVEC at (800) 234-7832 to learn more or sign up.
Levelized Billing FAQ’s
Only usage charges are included in the calculation. Any one time fees are not included.
No. Unlike traditional “budget billing” programs there is no “catch up” month. Each month’s payment is virtually the same, with no annual settle-up.
Yes. Members must contact the Cooperative to request removal from the Plan. Remember any outstanding credit or debit will be applied to the next billing. Also, remember that any member who chooses to withdraw or an account is removed by the Cooperative from the program cannot reenter the Plan for at least 12 months.
A member who moves to another location can enroll in the Levelized Payment Plan after establishing 12 months usage history.
Auto Pay
The SVEC Auto Pay payment option allows the amount of your electric bill to be automatically deducted from your bank account. This optional, secure, safe, and free service means you no longer need to write a check, go to a payment center, use a stamp, or worry about late payment.
Please note:
Your account must reflect a zero balance before:
- Enrolling in Auto Pay
- Modifying your Auto Pay information
- Discontinuing your participation in the program
How Auto Pay Works
Fill out the Auto Pay Form (PDF) and return it to SVEC along with a voided check (checking account) or deposit slip (savings account) showing the bank and checking or savings account from which you want your payment deducted.
Upon receipt of the authorization form, SVEC will implement the direct debit of your bank account. You will continue to receive a monthly bill from SVEC as usual.
On this bill you will see a new statement to the effect that, “Your bank account will be debited for $ (total amount due) on (date).”
Auto Pay FAQ’s
Absolutely nothing! Auto Pay is offered as a convenience, free of charge, to our members who wish to save check and postage costs. In addition, they enjoy the ease and comfort of knowing their electric bill is paid on time each month, in a secure manner. Even with SVEC Auto Pay, no one has access to your bank account except you and your bank.
Yes. Your account must reflect a zero balance before enrolling in Auto Pay, modifying your Auto Pay information, or discontinuing your participation in the program.
