The 2023 Youth Tour, open to high school juniors, will be June 19-23, 2023, in Washington, D.C. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will provide students an opportunity to meet one-on-one with legislators and learn more about U.S. history, politics and electric cooperatives. Recreational opportunities are offered as well, with possibilities including a Washington Nationals game, Potomac River cruise and Kennedy Center performance.
To participate in the program, students must be high school juniors living in the Shenandoah Valley. Final selection is based on an application and a personal interview. Priority will be given to students whose parents or guardians are SVEC members.
