After relocating often as a child of a military family, Robbie Marchant settled in the Shenandoah Valley. She has served as an SVEC director from the city of Winchester since 2011. Robbie currently serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee and is a member of the Compensation & Benefits Committee. During her time as a director, she has served on every committee and leadership position of the board.  Robbie also holds the highest board education certification.

Robbie is chief financial officer for the Timber Ridge School, a residential treatment center for adolescent boys in northern Frederick County. She has held the position for 16 years and before that worked in manufacturing. Following in her father’s footsteps, Robbie began her work career in the Army, serving in Desert Storm and Germany. After leaving active duty, she served in the National Guard and reached the rank of captain.

Robbie received a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.

Robbie is the Board Chair for Sinclair Health Clinic (Free Medical Clinic). She also volunteers for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival and is current chair of the city of Winchester Board of Zoning Appeals. Robbie is a member of Confraternity of Christian Mothers at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Robbie and her husband, Roger, live in Winchester and have two sons and one daughter. Just as Robbie, her grandparents, father and husband have served in the military, one son currently serves as an officer in the Army.
