
Vice President & Chief Information Officer
Wayne Hannah Jr., vice president and chief information officer, joined the cooperative in January 1998. Wayne is charged with leading the IT department by overseeing information technology activities for the cooperative and providing highly reliable solutions.
He works to ensure that our employees have the technological resources they need to be able to best serve our members. He also strives to maintain a high level of awareness regarding cybersecurity, as it is extremely important to SVEC to help protect members’ personal data and keep it safe.
Before joining the cooperative, Wayne worked with Augusta County as the Director of Management of Information Services for more than five years. While at the county, Wayne was involved with initiating the Geographic Information System. A major project he participated in was the assignment of 911 street addressing.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Mississippi College and grew up in Augusta County, where he graduated from Fort Defiance High School. He has also received a Management Intern Program certificate from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
Wayne lives in Augusta County with his wife.
