Senior Vice President & Chief Financial and Strategy Officer
Mike has electric utility experience since 2008. He joined the cooperative in September 2009. Mike oversees the administration of the finance department and works across departments to coordinate and help deliver the strategic plan. Along with the communications team, he acts as a communications conduit between the cooperative and its members. Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in business management, with minors in accounting and money and finance, from Guilford College. He received two master’s degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University, for public administration and business administration.
Before joining SVEC, he worked with the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives. Mike lives in Rockingham County with his wife and two children.
