President & Chief Executive Officer
President and Chief Executive Officer Greg Rogers joined the cooperative about a decade ago. Greg oversees all departments at the cooperative.
A former Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at SVEC, Greg brings expertise in relation to engineering and operations issues. His role as President and CEO leads him to maximize the efficient use of the cooperative’s capital, material and engineering and operations human resources to ensure a reliable, cost-effective and safe power delivery system for members.
Prior to joining SVEC, Greg worked at Allegheny Power for more than 20 years in multiple roles, the last being General Manager of Operations.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and he is a licensed professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Greg is from Winchester, where he and a majority of his extended family still live. Besides his college years in Blacksburg and his first job with the Navy, he has lived in the Shenandoah Valley his whole life, primarily in Winchester but also in Luray.
