The rules by which Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative is governed are spelled out in its Bylaws. The Bylaws, and any amendments, are approved by the membership. The bylaws were last revised in February 2019.
All of the cooperative’s rates are based upon the cost to service a class of member-owners. The rates the cooperative charge in Virginia are based on detailed cost of service studies that are reviewed and approved by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
The Commission has also approved terms and conditions under which the cooperative will provide electric distribution service to its member-owners. Click on Terms and Conditions that were effective January 2019 to learn more.
