SVEC Scholarship Information

SVEC Scholarship

Since 1992, SVEC has offered scholarships to area youth who seek higher education.  The only requirements for a student to apply for the scholarship are that their parents, or guardians must be member-owners of Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative and the student must attend a high school located in the counties or city served by the Cooperative.

SVEC Safety Demonstrations

The most important thing with electricity is safety.  SVEC is pleased to present to schools and other organizations our safety demonstration, which is a kit that we use to go through various scenarios, showing students places where they might encounter potentially dangerous situations with electricity. Usually used for classes/children fourth grade and below.  If you would like more information about a demonstration for your group, please e-mail Cammie Tutwiler.
