On Jan. 16, 2017, SVEC launched this webpage, which will keep member-owners informed of our new facility project.

The new building - a combined Headquarters and Rockingham District Office - is being constructed on the corner of Oakwood Drive and U.S. 11 near Mount Crawford. It is scheduled to be complete in the spring of 2018.

SVEC is partnering with Harman ConstructionMather Architects, and Valley Engineering on this project.

Here is a timeline of major milestones:

October 9, 2016: SVEC breaks ground on the new facility.

June 22, 2016: The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors approves a special-use permit and rezoning for the project.

April 27, 2016: SVEC announces plans for a new Headquarters and Rockingham District Office, contingent on consideration of all stakeholders.

Feb. 12, 2016: SVEC exercises option to purchase property for new building at 70 Oakwood Drive, north of Mount Crawford.
